After studying with Randy Just for 4 years, I consider him to be one of my two main teachers. Here’s why: He challenges me in all the right ways. Sometimes with encouragement (“I know you can do this!)” Sometimes with his sense of humor (“For God’s sake, Leah, what are you doing???”). Sometimes with affirmation (“Yes, and it’s about time!”). I have loved the sense of community he and Becky have encouraged among the teachers in our group. Randy sets things up so that we learn from him, from each other and from our own experiences. I live 7 hours away in Memphis, but drive to the New Orleans training because each weekend is full of learning, inspiration, challenges, and fun. He’s also honest, so when he lets you know you’re doing well or that you’ve improved, you believe him.
Randy's trainings are systematic, practical, challenging and fun. He has a deep and clear understanding of the Iyengar method of teaching. He is a great leader and teacher of teachers. His eye for correction is on the money. I learn so much watching him teach us. He has a knack for communicating to each student individually and at the same time teaching the whole group something. Randy Just has been through the whole process of Iyengar yoga certification and he knows what he is talking about, Randy walks the walk, he doesn’t just talk the talk. I always come home from these trainings enriched and inspired.
Randy’s teacher training has helped me become a more effective, clear teacher. I recently passed Junior Intermediate II and felt that I was solidly prepared for the assessment. Randy was able to hone in on what was lacking in my teaching previously and in a supportive way he and Becky Lloyd helped me learn how to grow and improve in my ability to see clearly and act appropriately. I gained experience and confidence while learning to safely teach difficult poses. I feel like my teaching took a giant step forward over the past few years as a direct result of his teacher training program.
Over 25 years in Iyengar Yoga I have been in many teacher training weekends. This Teacher Training program has a particular high value of multi tiered learning, and is brilliantly organized. First of all, Randy is constantly improving in his practice and in his teachings, he utilizes the combined intelligence and skillfulness within the group where we members span across 4 levels of certification as Iyengar Yoga Teachers; the way he utilizes this in his multi tiered teachings is brilliant, and it's all worth the long drive from Georgia to NOLA 4 to 5 times per year for now the seventh year.
(Inge Mula just passed her Junior Intermediate I certification this fall!)
“Having NO previous experience in yoga, I was persuaded by some friends to attend a class at Audubon Yoga Studio after a recent diagnosis of hypertension. Four years later, I no longer have high blood pressure, and I can do a headstand in the middle of the room—without shaking! Iyengar yoga and the tremendous instructors have guided me toward a greater physical as well as mental stability.”

“I am very fortunate to be on my journey with yoga at Audubon Yoga studio. I had been exposed to yoga a few times before, and under the guidance of Becky Lloyd and the other certified instructors at Audubon Yoga, I have been able to deepen my practice. I am confident that I am being instructed in a safe way, without the fear of doing something wrong to hurt myself. Audubon Yoga Studio’s outlook on Yoga is full of Light!”
— Robert A. Camenzuli, DDS
“I cherish Becky's lovely studio and the community of students she has attracted. Having studied various yoga disciplines, I appreciate the Iyengar tradition with its emphasis on quality teaching, integrity and a pyramid of teaching influences. I feel enriched, challenged and inspired by Becky and the visiting teachers she brings to NOLA on a regular basis.”

“One thing I love most about yoga is that it is a constantly learning practice. I have been doing yoga for so long, but I am still learning about even the most basic poses — like downward dog! Classes at Audubon Yoga give a boost to my practice and push me to try different ways of doing poses that add to my home practice. After all these years, I still look forward to every single Thursday morning class with Becky. She is continually sharing new insights with us with her gentle, kind spirit.”

“Casey is an experienced and dedicated instructor. She provides clear instructions explaining the proper body alignment for the asanas practiced during class and offers individualized modifications so that even those with physical limitations can experience each asana. After Casey’s classes, I always leave the studio feeling mentally calm yet physically energized.
The Audubon Yoga Studio offers a peaceful, noncompetitive, and nonjudgmental setting for practicing yoga. The instructors and other students are both welcoming and encouraging. “

“For the past nine years, Casey has been my instructor and guide to the practice and joy of yoga. She has an in-depth knowledge of the poses and philosophy of Iyengar yoga and enthusiastically shares that knowledge with her students. These qualities, in addition to her patience and kindness, are invaluable in teaching classes made up of students of widely varying ages, abilities and personalities.”
